A Week of Temples
The past week and a half has been a great one, starting with Sawyer going to the Houston, Texas temple on January 2 to receive his endowment. Several friends met us there and joined us for burgers at Fudruckers afterwards.
Sawyer and I (his mommy) took a trip to Utah to shop for items needed for his mission, namely winter gear! (Not something readily available in Houston, Texas.) EVERY person who helped us was a return missionary. Sawyer got lots of great stories and advice from all those RM's. Mike's sister, Jenne, took time to help us shop and loaned us her car when she had to work.
Of course we also got to spend time with some family while in Utah. We met Aunts, Uncles, Grandmas and Grandpas at the Timpanogos Temple Saturday morning, and then Sawyer and I met Madie's room mate, Kapri, at the Salt Lake City temple on Tuesday. What an overwhelming feeling of gratitude to be in a temple that was built by the pioneers. Sawyer was able to go to three different temples in seven days. As we were leaving the Salt Lake Temple, Sawyer said he'd like to make a date with his seminary teacher, Michelle Taylor, to go back to the Houston temple. He says he has some questions for her.
